CRAFT AND CHARACTER
Built on over a century of outerwear expertise, our Icons Collection spotlights our most enduring and definitive jackets. Each has been shaped not only by the hands that have crafted them, but by the independent spirits who’ve worn them. These resilient characters – represented by our phoenix – are novel thinkers who do things differently, much like Freddie has.
FIND YOUR ICON
"INDEPENDENT SPIRITS, FOR ME, ARE PEOPLE WHO HAVE A GO. MAVERICKS. THEY PLAY THE GAME THEIR WAY."
- FREDDIE FLINTOFF
WHO WAS YOUR BIGGEST ICON GROWING UP?
First and foremost, my Dad. We didn’t have much in the way of financial stuff, but were spoiled with love and backing and affection.
WHAT DOES RESILIENCE MEAN TO YOU?
For me, I think it's somebody who tries and tries and tries, who fails, but keeps coming back. I firmly believe that failing is not a problem, but not trying is a real crime.
IF YOU WEREN’T A CRICKETER, WHAT WOULD YOU BE?
I’d be a musician. Elvis is my hero. He died in 1977 – the year I was born.
WHAT DOES COMMUNITY MEAN TO YOU?
I've been surrounded by a great community of people all my life. What I found with cricket was, people there for the good times, but then the people who stood next to me in the lowest points in my life have been from that world.
"I FIRMLY BELIEVE FAILING IS NOT A PROBLEM, BUT NOT TRYING IS A REAL CRIME."
- FREDDIE FLINTOFF
