MODERN ADVENTURERS TALK TO BELSTAFF ABOUT THEIR PERSONAL JOURNEYSPORTRAITS BY RENOWNED BRITISH PHOTOGRAPHER DAVID BURTON
“For me, style is quality, whatever you wear, ride, or do.”
Not all journeys go to plan. Long-distance runner and traveler Charlie Lewis had a career in rugby mapped out for him when a snowboarding accident led to a decade of treatment in an attempt to save his leg. Eventually, it was his bold decision to have the leg amputated that gave him the chance to define his own adventure.
Since then, Charlie has been kitted out with a running blade and has completed marathons in Afghanistan, North Korea and Lebanon in his bid to take part in a sporting event in every country in the world.Charlie has taken control of his life and done so in style, something that for him – like Belstaff – is synonymous with quality: “For me, style is quality, whatever you wear, ride, or do.” And with that, he zips up his Supreme motorcycle jacket and heads off. Charlie’s got places he needs to be.
