The idea was sparked by the discovery of a 1930s pin in our archives, which carried the All Weather Club name. Since 1924, Belstaff has had a long-standing connection to braving the elements, pioneering water-repellent waxed cotton gear for motorcycling, camping and climbing.
The 1970s were the pinnacle of our outdoor legacy. We were the first ever apparel brand to partner with waterproofing experts GORE-TEX, creating the bright blue climbing smock and trousers that allowed mountaineer Sir Chris Bonington to summit The Ogre in Pakistan. It remains his “proudest climb”.
THE CENTENARY CLIMB
Our inaugural event saw the Belstaff team hike through Kinder Scout to the highest point in the UK’s Peak District. Everybody who took part helped raise £10,000 for our ongoing charity partners, Age UK.
